About Rita M. Roure, M.D.
Dr. Roure is an Assistant Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is also the Chief of the Division of Otorhinolaryngology at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx.
Dr. Roure received her B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.D. degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Roure completed her internship in General Surgery and Residency in Otolaryngology at the New York University Medical Center where she was awarded the Kelvin Lee Resident Teacher Award in 2007. She is published in both peer-reviewed journals as well as world-renowned Otolaryngology textbooks. Her research interests nclude sinus pathology and facial trauma.
Her clinical interests include the management of sinus and otologic diseases, as well as facial trauma. She also specializes in the medical and surgical management of sleep apnea, ear infections, acid reflux, hearing loss, dizziness, tonsillitis, thyroid/parathyroid problems and salivary disorders.
Awards:
First Metropolitan New York Resident Research Day award (2006) for the presentation on Auditory Midbrain Implantation: Stereotactic Implantation of the inferior colliculus with penetrating eletordes in cadavers.
Kelvin Lee Resident Teaching Award. New York University Residency Graduating Ceremony. May 2007.
